taken up home insurance, car insurance, landlord and life insurance products
with Hollard.
Business Scenario
To offer insurance products to customers that provide the best possible
quality, suitability and value for money, it was necessary for Hollard to
implement an address management solution in order to improve both internal
operational efficiencies, to reduce costs, as well as accurately identify each
customer's location to comprehensively asses risk and provide optimised
insurance premiums.
Leveraging their existing systems, Hollard successfully implemented Intech's IQ
Office® software to enhance, validate and geographically code Australian
customer addresses.

Hollard selected Intech Solutions to provide data quality solutions for its
primary customer managements systems.
Hollard implemented IQ Office® into two separate real time interfaces:
1. A public website which enables customers to obtain a quote for an insurance
requirement online.
2. A CRM system which is used by 150 staff in their call centre.
The user interface is friendly with the user only needing to type in the start
of the address (circled) and they are then presented with options.
Hollard currently use the real time address validation service to process up to
2,000 address entries per day, i.e. up to 50,000 per month.
A single IQ Office® installation supports both the applications (public website
and internal CRM) and the batch processing.
Benefits
IQ Office® gives Hollard the benefits of easier, faster and more accurate data
capture as well as greater accuracy in insurance quotations, resulting in
reduced risk and greater customer acquisition.
Easier, faster and more accurate data capture - is achieved by the address
validation functions which allow 95% of address to be accurately captured with
8-12 keystrokes. This reduces the average address capture time to less than 10
seconds and eliminates false and/or badly formatted records being captured.
Greater accuracy in insurance quotations is a result of having better quality
address data. This allows automated generation of insurance quotations with a
lower risk of errors, resulting ultimately in greater customer acquisition and
greatly improved customer contact.
