Mail Industry Advisory Committee
MIAC (Mailing Industry Advisory Committee) has been established as a joint
Australia Post and Major Mail Users project as a flow-on from the
AP-MMUA Code of Practice. Orginally it met
quarterly but with the launch of the AP-MMUA joint BMP project other mechanisms
were used until the "portcullis" policy of AP Letters Group came into play and
now meets irregularly.
MIAC is an important commitment on the part of both AP and MMUA to implement the Code's encouragement of "a total quality culture" in our industry. It works through issues raised either by AP or MMUA in an open and co-operative environment, and is also used by both AP and MMUA to discuss future initiatives of impact on each other.
