Australia Post appoints section heads

Australia Post has announced the section heads for the new internal arrangements for its new FUTURE READY - Australia Post's business renewal program.

MMUA members should refer to Australia Post Information Email Report 70, 28/5/10, for full details of the new "who's who".

As announced in April, there will be four Strategic Business Units:

• Postal Services;
• Retails Services;
• Express Distribution Services;
• e-Services

and four Support Groups:

• Finance;
• People & Community;
• Strategy & Marketing;
• Corporate Services

The industry as a whole wishes the new managing director, Ahmed Fahour, and his carefully chosen team well - the importance of Australia Post's network and services cannot be over-stressed. These are trying times for everyone in the industry: here's hoping the old red-tape, bureaucratic has been vanished and we are looking at tghe commencement of a new customer-focused, business approach to "the business of mail".
