The Report and Recommendations of the NCC
The National Competition Council's review was part of the National Competition Policy Agreements signed in 1995 by the Commonwealth and State Governments. Australia Post's monopoly is clearly covered by the provisions of the Agreement covering the restriction of competition. The NCC published its findings in a two volume report in February 1998.
